A buyer’s premium is added to your winning bid. Idaho sales tax (6%) and the state title fee apply to taxable vehicle purchases. Pay your invoice by the posted deadline, then pick up locally. Do I need a dealer license to bid on police auction cars in Idaho?
No. Our police, impound, and government auctions are open to the public. Anyone can register and bid.
Where are police impound and government auctions held in the Treasure Valley?
Sales are held at our Nampa and Meridian locations and online at bid.musickauction.com, serving Boise, Caldwell, and the surrounding area.
How often does Idaho State Police auction its surplus?
Once or twice a year, conducted in Nampa through an authorized auctioneer. Register early and watch the upcoming auctions calendar so you do not miss one.
What happens to seized and evidence property in Ada County?
It is held for 90 days so the owner can reclaim it (60 days for found bicycles). If the owner cannot be identified, the property is released for public auction.
Are police auction vehicles salvage?
Usually no. Most are running, titled fleet or impound vehicles. The title status of every lot is disclosed before you bid.
